Serpentine Mineral: (The mineral of future)

Serpentine generally is the important mineral group formed in the rock called “Serpentinite”. Serpentine mineral is found in many colors and appearances such as green, brown and yellow. Serpentine and Magnesite frequently occur together according to its existence in the area that provides lots of magnesium.

For 4o years that serpentine mineral has been the important sources of Steel production, for examples, its use as a raw material for ceramic products. Due to the its source of MgO , the industry also employs serpentine in the production of iron.

The company’s product quality is stable. The main chemical composition is Mgo ≥ 38%, Sio2 ≤ 40%, and Ai2o3 ≤ 0.8%. It is a high-quality flux for adjusting the pH of molten iron during sintering and ironmaking. According to the data, compared with dolomite power, the cost per ton of hot metal can be reduced by 8-12 USD, the steelmking product yield can be increased by 1%, the cost can be reduced by 2%, and the quality of steel can be increased by 3%, 4% - 7%, saving money for ironworks.

Having owned seven concessions covering the land of over 400 acres located in Nakhonsrithammarat and Trang provinces (Amphoe Tha Sala and King Amphoe Nob Phi Tam), AMPC can produce more than 1,500,000 metric tons of mineral ore.

Location

AMPC's ore deposits and processing facilities are located in the south of Thailand, i.e. Nakhonsrithammarat province and Kantong district. With two ports, we can efficiently deliver our products to all customers around the world.

Product Specification

Sodium Feldspar contains high amount of Na-Feldspar (Na2O>7.5%), or highly mixed of Na2O and K20 minerals with total flux more than 9.0%. The sodium feldspar is used in production of wall, floor tiles, sanitary ware, earthenware, sheet glass, glass, etc. This product can be prepared according to customers’ needs.
